Costs hitting Austrian glass producer
Pöchlarn, Austrian producer of glass packaging, has been facing an increase in costs of around 17% over the past two years.
Energy costs alone were increased by 75 % in this time period, which means around 8.5 million Euros, the company says. The cost increase crude oil during the first three quarters of 2006 caused an increase in costs, which Vetropack is forced to confer in its product prices.
