Belgrade firm invests
Having invested in state-of-the-art printing press technology from W&H for the first time as far back as 2001 with the installation of a NOVOFLEX® C.I. flexo press, the Belgrade based company has recently added to its equipment a HELIOSTAR® GE rotogravure press as well as a VAREX® blown film line.
The growing domestic demand for both quality gravure printing and high quality films as well as the favourable experience the company has gathered with the NOVOFLEX®, finally prompted Milanko Pantović, owner of Beograf-Bukulja, to go again for W&H technology. Not least because the performance range of the 10-colour HELIOSTAR® GE encompasses among other things the printing of demanding packaging material such as for coffee. To meet the specific requirements associated with such applications, the machine is equipped with print stations for pre- and post-varnishing and for the application of cold-seal lacquers. Special equipment allows for the printing on light gauge polyethylene films down to 25 microns.
The VAREX® 3-layer blown film line will predominantly be used for the extrusion of laminating and stretch film as well as film for automatic packaging applications. For further conversion of the film, the company uses its own laminating machines. “In addition to the latest engineering technology, it was the “plus package” we would get from W&H, comprising an effective service and competent advice, that made me go again for system solutions from W&H,” says Milanko Pantović when asked about the reasons for his purchase decision.
