RPC expanding in Poland
Along with consolidating its presence in the country, the purchase will give RPC an instant foothold in the confectionary packaging market, as well as increasing its capabilities for producing modified atmosphere packaging (MAP).
MAP is an increasingly lucrative technology for packaging companies currently used to provide fresher food, particularly in the fields of less labour intensive foods like pre-washed salads and vegetables. This type of packaging is also commonly used for grated cheeses, sandwiches, fresh pizzas and meats.
This will be added to RPC Bebo portfolio’s of products which already include Multilayer and monolayer pots, as well as disposable and reusable trays and tubs.
“This is an important acquisition for RPC Bebo Polska and underlines the importance the Group attaches to continuing to expand our presence in Poland,” commented Krzysztof Banach, General Manager of RPC Bebo Polska.
The company is a subsidiary of European holding group RPC, which already operates 38 plants across Europe, four of which are already situated in Poland.
4 You Sigal supplies packaging to established confectionery brands like Mieszko chocolates as well as Viando salads and the purchase will open up new markets for RPC, whilst consolidating its existing operations.
