Fischer and Krecke go more compact
Fischer & Krecke is launching the compact FLEXPRESS 6S, a smaller, entirely new addition to the mid and wide web FLEXPRESS series of gearless, sleeve based, servo driven CI flexo presses that continue to set new standards of performance throughout the package printing industry.
The FLEXPRESS 6S answers a market demand for FLEXPRESS performance in a smaller press.
The new 6S 8C is available in web widths: 900 (35’’), 1100 (43’’), and 1300 mm (51’’). Repeat length ranges from 320/370 mm (13/15’’) to 800 mm (31’’) Features include signature technologies typical of the FLEXPRESS series, including pneumatic or hydraulic basic shafts, sleeves, intermediate sleeves, carbon fibre cylinders, servo drives, a cantilever sleeve system and more. Super quick changeovers and production speeds of up to 400 mpm (1,300 fpm) allow for superior throughput.
The FLEXPRESS 6S employs new BTC dryers that ensure an even flow air over the whole working width with minimum frictional loss and easy access for maintenance purposes. As with the other FLEXPRESS models, the print units of the 6S are in parallel arrangement which requires a slightly larger CI drum compared with slanted print units, but facilitates parts logistics as the components of all print units are absolutely identical. However, according to Andreas Kueckelmann, Fischer & Krecke Managing Director, what really distinguishes the FLEXPRESS 6S is its exceptionally compact, user-friendly design.
“To achieve this high performance in a compact press, we committed to an overall redesign, including reengineering many details, all orchestrated to improve efficiency while delivering the outstanding print quality typical of our entire FLEXPRESS series,” Kueckelmann said.
Standard equipment includes gearless direct drive of the CI drum, automatic winders for rolls up to 1000 mm (39’’) in diameter, web video, edge guide control, two-circuit drying system, AUTOCLEAN system (inking system with automatic wash-up capability), and a catwalk for easy access to the bridge dryer and air-conditioned electric container. The range of extra equipment includes important options such as web treatment, slitting device, or solvent concentration monitoring.
“Thanks to its modular design and to optimized production processes we are able to offer the 6S at an attractive price. It is the cost price in conjunction with the capacity and the superior workmanship that guarantees an outstanding return on investment”, says Hartmut Roessler, sales director who sees excellent sales prospects on all markets.
