Call to look further
Greater efficiency and faster product developments will only be possible if all members of the paper chain are able to not only see beyond the end of their noses in their own field and indeed open their eyes to the entire process chain according to the German group PTS.INFOR has taken a giant step forward in this direction by deciding to invite a member of the Steering Committee of the Paper Technology Research Association (FPT) to be a regular guest at the meetings of the INFOR Research Committee. FPT, one of the three PTS founders, ties together the interests of raw material suppliers, paper machine mechanical engineers, chemical industry and finishers. This invitation is intended to underscore the efforts of the INFOR Research Council to incorporate the supplier industry in the discussion concerning the main aims of research.
