cab Produkttechnik improves its successful label and barcode printers of the A-series.

The core of the new A+ generation is a new high performance board with a 266 Mhz processor and a 64 MB RAM memory. Fastest calculating functions as well as process reliability are assured. The A+ series prints labels out of a network or with a PC at amazing speed.

All necessary interfaces are integrated on the board. A completely new print head mechanic allows the trouble-free handling of different labels widths from 12 mm to 119 mm without any adjustments. The user can see label and ribbon stock at all times due to the translucent cover. Even strongest environmental influences as well as demanding working conditions cannot damage the rugged aluminium diecast frame as well as the high-class ball-bearings. The print mechanic comes with a 24 months warranty.

The A+ series offers a number of improvements for the user. The display has been upgraded to 4 lines (20 digits each) and is twice as big as regular displays in comparable printers. The user gets more information which can be arranged by himself via configuration menu. Text can now be shown in 25 different languages et al. Chinese and Arabic. The new navigator pad has an additional enter key with supporting guiding hints and makes the handling of the printer even more comfortable and understandable.

The A+ series has a new holder for label rolls with a diameter of up to 210mm and a new threepart expandable ribbon axle. Each printer features a real time clock and can be extended at any time for instance with a barcode verifier or changed into an thermodirect or RFID printer.

The print speed of the premium printer has been increased to 250 mm/s for the 200 dpi version. The 300 dpi version has the same print speed. 600 dpi print up to 100 mm/s. The customer can make the modification from one dpi version to another easily by himself by just changing the print head. Other adjustments are not necessary. The A+ series can be equipped optionally with an external rewinder or a high-performance cutter (up to 500 gram material thickness). The semi-automatic respectively fully automatic print & apply system A1000 allows the integration into production lines and applies labels in real time directly onto product or packaging.

A4+ prints all important 1D and 2D barcodes, serial numbers and fonts in different sizes and formats. All common graphic formats can be handled. Together with a PC keyboard which can be connected directly to the printer thousands of labels can be retrieved, printed and changed from the CF memory card. This saves the cost for a PC or Laptop.

The industry suitable printer is designed for use in production, warehouse, office or shipping. Its particular user friendliness, modern design and variable connectivity possibilities make the new cab A+ series one of the top sellers in the field of high-end label printers. Standard are Fast-Ethernet 10/100T, serial respectively parallel (via USB converter), 2 x USB Salve, 1 x USB Master as well as one Cardbus slot for WLAN for example. So customers can use all kind of interfaces for connections and programming.

In order to make this even easier cab offers a couple of useful software tools such as cab card manager (to write label formats on the CF memory card), the cab Network Manager (for organizing and adressing of the printer in the network), the Database Manager (for direct connection of SQL data). The abc compiler also allows the substition of other printer types or the transfer of data streams out of other systems (for example scales or SPS). The free “cablabel lite” label software allows the easy creation of label formats on the PC.

The A4+ is a ultra-modern, robust barcode and label printer with a reliable print mechanic and many interfaces. It is ideal for medium to high applications in production and logistics.
