Call for duty on used paper export
The Kamensk Carton-Paper Factory has made representations to the Russian state Interdepartmental Commission for Foreign Trade and Customs, calling for tariffs on the export of paper waste and paper for recycling. Such products currently enjoy a duty-free status.According to Kamensk KBF, increased export risks leading to a deficit of these valuable secondary raw materials on the domestic market. The Department of State Regulation of Foreign Trade has requested all interested parties to submit their comments by 10 August 2006 to the Ministry of Russian Economic Development.
