Polytec has been providing for a new flexo printing machine for flexibile packaging; the company continually seeks to invest in the right type of equipment, which ensures its services are updated to today’s market and customers’needs.

The Managing director Dimitri Belkin explains:

“Today the majority of our work and the increasing new demands are addressed to high quality printing of polyethylene and polypropylene films, mainly for retailers or brands which are engaged within industrial and retail packaging market . We’ve made a strategic decision to focus in that area of the market.”

“When customers are selecting a new skilled print supplier, price is important, of course, but there is a lot more to consider. Design, innovation, production, logistics and service are all important elements. They’ve all got to be taken into account, especially when these products have got to be in store on a specific date. We’ve got Athena so we can come up with new ideas and concepts to make these products better”.

”The aim is to have today a new modern space in our plant in Tula,  ready by the end of March, so we can start  with this new and innovative printing machine.

The new equipment, Dimitri refers,  the flexo printing press Athena 8-850 is the first printer of its type in the Tula region.  It will enhance the company’s capacity for top of the flexibile printing work. It comes complete with integrated management  eliminating the time needed to set -up. This seamless process from design start to print ready makes Polytec one of the fastest workflow system in the CIS.

The Athena is a  automatic machine, capable of printing in high quality resolution using eighth colours on a range of materials including PE, PP OPP, paper and aluminium, at production costs are better than any other printer of its class.

Dimitri Belkin believes the company is beginning to reap the benefits of this investment: “We’re starting to see a greater share of the work that we do going through labels and security printing, whereas before the majority of it was through small presses, but now we’re able to put it through the new Athena  and achieve more production and better choice and quality.

“The modern packaging market It’s a very fragmented market place, said Francesco Mancuso, Flexo Group srl President, and there’s no one company that dominates it.  The technology changes are happening very quickly and there’s an increasing capital investment needed, so only a certain amount of companies are going to be able to make those on an ongoing basis. Polytec is one of them.”
